		<description>The outer skin of almonds is high in tannins (and so very astringent, and hard to digest. It also contains phytic acid but also a high level of antioxidants. For me the issue of digestability is most important. 
If the skins don&#039;t slip off the soaked almonds when you tub them between your thumb and first finger, add some warm/hot water and leave to soak for a few mins.</description>
