One of my subscribers sent me this link yesterday to an article about how US consumers are” feeling the pinch” with the rising prices for food. I felt sad as I read it but  my spirits rose when I read the comments posted. The debate was lively and interesting and clearly indicated that the article only showed part of the picture. What’s more, the points made sounded familiar.

They included eating according to the season; buying fresh, organic local produce; preparing food yourself;  getting together with your friends to cook  and share costs and knowledge; eating less in quantity but not in quality; using herbs and spices in food. All of these points are easy enough to follow when you’re not counting the pennies but more of a challenge if you are. Yet the posts show it’s possible even on a small budget to eat well and find resources to help you do so. I particularly like the comment saying “cooking is easy (you just have to believe, which is really the key to life)”.
For me that said it all – it’s all down to your attitude, which is the topic of the 1st key in my free e-course “5 nutritional keys to vitality in your life“.
